Miscibility of FIRE EXTINGUISHING
FOAM COMPOUNDS

Only identical foam fire extinguishing compounds may be mixed with each other during a fire-fighting operation and must be used up immediately !

If existing stocks of foam compounds are to be supplemented, it is  advisable to check their quality!

Example:

Protein foam compound with protein foam  compound
Multi-range foam compound with multi-range foam compound

Different foam compound concentrates may  not be  mixed with each other!

Example:

Do not mix fluor protein foam compounds with AFFF! Do not mix alcohol-resistant AFFF foam compounds with multi-range foam compounds!
Do not mix protein foam  compounds with multi-range foam compounds!

As a precaution, both in the user´s and  respective producer´s interest, it is advisable to have a lab test carried out  before topping up a storage container in order to establish the

• quality of the remaining stocks
• and the miscibility

Ready-to-use fire extinguishing foams produced from different foam generators can be mixed with each other without any problems!
